We have social media and paid promoters who love the game, so ♥♥♥♥ the rest of you, you demanding little brats: you want the game to work when you buy it for money, well ♥♥♥♥ you! ![]() That's like the motto at Valve and EA now, isn't it. Because ♥♥♥♥ the customer, for no reason whatsoever XD. Install and launch the game via Origin instead of Steam. EA had to force Bad Company 2 to show up in my library, but will not help me with the serial key. I entered the product keys through Origin, because they didnt work when I tried to enter through the game as I launched through Steam. So rather than remove the serial-key requirement from the steam-release, or create steam instances on the online for validation - they've just removed the keys. EA is telling me I have to contact Steam support. (Neither will I have the opportunity to find out, since I have about as much access at EA nowadays as someone trying to log in to their Origin account in a secure way).īut you can be fairly certain that it's an exploit at Origin's "redeem"-system, in that people would buy the product on sale at steam, and then redeem the game in their Origin-library. ![]() What that request was, in what context, or how anyone thought that was a reasonable thing to do, I don't know, obviously. Steam support just admitted that Steam has removed the serial-keys from "older games" (that also are on Origin) at a request from the publisher. ![]()
